We recently sourced an Nvidia Quadro P1000 half height video card to install in our small form factor (SFF) Dell Optiplex 5070.
Here we explain what the big differences are between the P600, P1000, P2000, P4000 and P6000 and then show how to change the plate from full height to half height:

Ian, thank you for the video explaining the pascal quadro line of cards. I have been specifically interested in getting a P1000 to be used in a SFF5070 Optiplex as well but wanted hear from someone who has been running this pairing long term.
The PCI-16 slot in the SFF5070 is marked with “25W” whereas P1000 draws 47W. Have you experienced any issues with P1000 under load? My worry is that running P1000 long term, will have detrimental impact on the life off the machine (especially since the PSU is only 200W). Let me know. Thanks!

Hi Ivan;
We have not detected any problems as yet. However our use case is limited and the card is not likely to be pushed to its limits so there may be problems with power as you suggest. Given the cost of of the P1000, I suggest it is worth a try in your case.
