SOLVED: Printer Settings Could Not Be Saved. This Operation Is Not Supported

If you are trying to change settings on a printer and you see this error:

Printer Settings Could Not Be Saved. This Operation Is Not Supported

The solution is likely to disable SHARING.

1. Click on the SHARING TAB
2. Unselect SHARE THIS PRINTER
3. Make your changes
4. Click on the SHARING TAB
5. Select SHARE THIS PRINTER – it will remember the old information
