SOLVED: How To Update Apps Installed From the Microsoft Store

After you run your Windows update you should also Update the apps in the Microsoft store. These off forgotten apps include programs we use everyday like Phone Link and Microsoft Photos.

Updating apps from the Microsoft store is not hard to do but Microsoft has buried the icon you need to get into it:

To update the apps that came from the Microsoft Store:

1. Click the START button
2. Type STORE
3. Click OPEN on MICROSOFT STORE
4. Click the CLOUD icon near the bottom left
5. Click the GET UPDATES button

Microsoft Store apps can be set to update automatically:

1. Click the START button
2. Type STORE
3. Click OPEN on MICROSOFT STORE
4. Click on your profile picture (or the user icon) in the top-right corner
5. Select SETTINGS
6. Make sure the APP UPDATES option is turned on

If you prefer to manually update your apps, you can turn off this setting and check for updates manually.
