SOLVED! How To Sort Email Sent To an Alias Into A Folder Automatically

This is a companion article to our video explaining how to send mail from an alias in Microsoft 365 Outlook.

It seems obvious that you should be able to create a rule in Outlook to sort inbound mail into Outlook folders based on the inbound email address. However, if the inbound email address is an email alias, the usual process just doesn’t work.

The solution is to create a rule in Outlook that looks at the message header rather than the inbound email address.
