It seems obvious that you should be able to create a rule in Outlook to sort inbound mail into Outlook folders based on the inbound email address. However, if the inbound email address is an email alias, the usual process just doesn’t work.

The solution is to create a rule in Outlook that looks at the message header rather than the inbound email address.
