SOLVED: Where Is “Messages Stored Media” on Samsung Android

If you’ve ever clicked the download button and the bottom left hand corner of a picture or graphic attachment you received in a text, on a Samsung Android, you will know that it comes up with this almost useless message SAVE TO YOUR MESSAGES STORED MEDIA:



The question is where is “Messages Stored Media”?

After we’re reviewing many blogs and technical support articles that wrongly state images that are saved or downloaded from a text message will appear in your Gallery software, we decided to figure it out by scanning through all of the files on our Samsung S22 Galaxy.

…and here is where messages stored media is. Messages Stored Media on your android device name > INTERNAL STORAGE > PICTURES > MESSAGES:

  • How do I create folders in the google messages - files - photos.
    Verizon is sunsetting messages+ and i am having trouble adapting to messages

    • Hi Don;

      I don't use that service, but I BELIEVE it is not possible to create folders in that tool because Google thinks you should SEARCH for items rather than properly name or organize them. I could be wrong.
