Hyper-V is the integrated hypervisor that allows you to run virtual machines on Windows servers and desktops, including Server 2022, Windows 10 and Windows 11. In this Hyper-V tutorial we focus on Windows 10 and 11 connecting to VM’s using new enhanced features of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) on what is now called Windows Remote Desktop Services (RDS).

RD Enhanced Mode allows you to:

  • dynamically resize the remote desktop window
  • use your local computer camera
  • map and access your local computer drives and USB ports
  • copy and paste screen captures between the desktop and the remote session

In this remote desktop tutorial, which may be more of a Hyper-V tutorial for some, we explain all of these remote desktop features and more.
