SOLVED: VIDEO: How to Setup and Troubleshoot Windows Phone Link App

UPDATED SEPT 2024: Previous title was “How to Setup and Troubleshoot Windows 10 Your Phone App” but the “Your Phone app” is now named “Phone Link App”

If you have an Android cell phone, like my Samsung Galaxy S9, S10, S20FE you may want to be able to send / receive texts on your PC, open Android apps on your PC or make / receive phone calls on your PC, the Your Phone app is your friend:

Of particular interest to many is how to fix the dreaded errors:

“CHECK YOUR PC: From the Your Phone App on your PC select SEND NOTIFICATION this will send the final permission to your phone”

or

“SOMETHING WENT WRONG: Check that both your devices are nearby, turned on, and connected to the same WiFi network”

We have the solution in the video below which is to set the NOTIFICATIONS settings on your Android cell to allow LINK TO WINDOWS to send alerts (aka, notifications)
