Recently we created a video explaining and demonstrating how to use How To Animate Old Photos Into Movies For Free using MyHeritage.com‘s artificial intelligence system. We did this using their free 14 day trial and now we need to cancel that trial so we don’t have to pay $125 for running a test.
The problem is that MyHeritage has been accused of making cancellation difficult and being non-responsive to cancellation support requests. So, we decided to explain what some people are doing wrong when they are trying to cancel their accounts and how to cancel a MyHeritage.com account properly.

IF you setup MyHeritage account using a mobile phone app, that is where you cancel it, but you can log into their store webpages and kill the account there.

We have NOT used this type of service so we cannot vouche for it, but we know others do so we thought it was worth noting.
There are companies like DoNotPay.com that will manage and cancel your unwanted subscriptions for you.
Once you have canceled your account, you likely want to remove all of the data you gave them. This is easy to do.
There are two confirmations you need to approve and bingo your data is gone.

Don't ever try the "7 day trial" membership on myheritage.com. You can cancel the "data subscription" but not the "site subscription" and you will think you cancelled your membership, but you will be charged for the "basic" site membership at $7.95 per month times 12 for an annual membership and they will claim that you didn't cancel "in time." It's a total scam.
