SOLVED: Is Microsoft Sway Still Being Developed?

Sway is a fantastic starter program to build basic websites.  It looks like a competitors web based version of PowerPoint.   Sway is good enough to release to the public, but it is so basic that a friend of mine describes it as a version 0.9 even though it has been available for more than a year.

For my customers the problem is that because Sway’s limited features do not see very many enhancements and because Sway has absolutely no promotion, they wonder if it is worth the time to learn the product.  We were quite bullish on Sway when it came out but now we tell most of our customers just to move on.

Many people have asked, is Sway still being developed or has Microsoft parked it?  The answer is that Microsoft is still developing the Sway as of October 2017 at least and we can verify this by checking the Office Road Map site which shows:

Microsoft describes Sway as:

Sway is an easy-to-use digital storytelling app for creating interactive reports, presentations, personal stories and more. Its built-in design engine helps you create professional designs in minutes. With Sway, your images, text, videos, and other multimedia all flow together in a way that enhances your story.
