UPDATED: April 16 2020 – IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have problems downloading the files from Adobe watch our video explaining why some downloads in Chrome or Edge no longer work and how to get around the problem, HEREhttps://www.urtech.ca/2021/04/solved-download-links-dont-work-in-chrome-or-edge/.
Adobe Acrobat updates may fail with:
Error 1328: Error applying patch to file C:\Config.MSI\PT3E87.TMP. It has probably been updated by other means and can no longer be modified by this patch.
While I still have no verified explanation for this error, I have seen it enough times to figure out a work around which can be summarized by saying install the patches manual:

WORKED!
Huge help. Thank you so much !!!
Your very welcome Anya. Glad we could help.
No way to get my computer to recognize the update links. Google Chrome just sits there when I click on ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/11.x/11.0.23/misc/
If I try Edge, it redirects me to Chrome and nothing happens
I use MS Edge and have no problems seeing the page but do see the problem with the links. I just tried it with Internet Explorer & FireFox and found the files downloaded as expected. Something must have changed in Chrome (Edge is Chrome now) so you can either try one of those or you can use FTP software (like FileZilla) to download these links:
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.23/misc/AdbeRdrUpd11023.msp
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.23/misc/AdbeRdrUpd11023_MUI.msp
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/11.x/11.0.23/misc/AcrobatUpd11023.msp
I will report the issue with Edge / Chrome to Microsoft if I don't figure it out myself.
I hope this helps.
I spent the last few hours figuring out why Chrome and Edge will not download the files, documenting the problem and recording a video with the solution: https://www.urtech.ca/2021/04/solved-download-links-dont-work-in-chrome-or-edge/
I hope this helps.
After dozens of other remedies, THIS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT WORKED!!! Thank you.
Yes it works for me too.
This is the actual solution. All the other "solutions" do not work.
