SOLVED: How to Force Change ACCOUNTS In Office 2013

If you have a user account at the top right of your Office 2013 product and SWITCH ACCOUNT does not work, you can perform a simple registry change to correc the problem:

  1. Close all of your Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook…)
  2. Start REGEDIT.EXE
  3. Find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Identity\Identities
  4. Delete any of the entries under the IDENTIIES and PROFILES keys (see the screen shot)
  5. Start Word and notice that the Account block is now changed to whatever your Windows login is
