SHORT ANSWER: The Asus T100 is a normal PC and so you can enter the BIOS by rapidly pressing the F2 key on boot up.
LONG ANSWER: To be precise the Asus T100 and most newer computers have scrapped the old, small and slow BIOS (Basic Input Output System) in favour of the new Intel and Microsoft designed UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface). The UEFI standard is fast; so fast that you likely will have trouble catching the F2 option on boot and be forced to try several times to get into the UEFI.
Give this problem you could choose to into the OS, go to Advance Startup options, then choose to reboot to the “UEFI Firmware Settings”.

I have a Asus Transformer T101 and can't get into the bios and I have a locked administrator password account that I can't get into. What device do I need to flash the bios for this specific computer and also what are some ways for me to get into bios and also remove the password.
My email is bugjoygo@ahk.jp
I have little knowledge on this problem, I can solder and I have the soldering equiptment. I don't have or know which specific device I would need to flash the bios. Please guide me and help me out.
I used FN key + F2 on mine to get it to load - it does load.
I tried all those combinations, nothing worked
How do I flash it and what devices and software are available. Also do you know where I can buy a programmed or clean bios chip for this. I need to get into my bios.
Yes, F2 worked, but I had to be very very fast to press it down!
Try holding down the power button (Top) and the volume down button. I am able to select boot manager from there.
It did work for me. Year old postb ut you have to do it a certain way FN + F2 if having issues...
Wrong advice given.
I have a Asus T100TAF tablet and it doesn't enter into Bios by F2. Volume Up +Power nope, Volume Up +Volume Down +Power nope .. I tried all possible combinations , F1 , F2, F9 I just does not go in Bios Mode ..
Considering that the Windows 8 on it has never been tampered with, the only conclusion is that you're giving wrong advice here.
Hi Mike;
This process will get a functional unit into the BIOS; I have done it. If yours is not, something is wrong. Sorry.
Bios has removed option to Boot from USB. I have a linux install I want to flash but cant because the USB option is removed. How can I flash a BIOS that has this option?
Hi Jake;
Linux or Windows (or any other OS) will not effect your boot options. If the USB is not available in your BIOS, I would try connecting a different USB device (hard drive, stick...) that are using different file systems (NTFS, FAT32...) in case the BIOS does not support what you have.
thanks
